BDC Lowes

This industrial project for Lowes (now Rona) was developed by Broccolini in partnership with Investors Group (IG). Broccolini acted as both the Development Manager and General Contractor for the construction of this new Bulk Distribution Centre for Appliances.

Located in Milton, Ontario, the 750,000-square-foot facility includes a warehouse, office space, and customer pick-up area. The building was designed to accommodate a future 250,000-square-foot expansion and is part of the larger 3-building Derry Road Logistics Campus. As part of the project, Broccolini worked with Halton Region to extend Labrador Avenue and Conservation Halton to re-align a watercourse that was present on the site. This new creek meanders its way across the property, providing a safe new ecosystem for the various fish, birds, and other wildlife that inhabit the site.

Solar panels were installed on the roof, producing up to 50% of the power required to operate the facility. The project also includes several EV charging stations and storm water retention ponds.

The project was delivered in Q1, 2023.
